Hannah Laucamp
Academic Year: Junior
Year on Team: 2nd
Major: Elementary Education
Hometown: Tipton, IA
High School: Tipton High School
Favorite Place on Campus: the UNI Dome
Favorite Food: Jimmy Johns with salt and vinegar chips
How did you get involved in cheer?: I went to an open gym and decided I wasn’t as bad as I thought!
What made you want to cheer at the University of Northern Iowa?: It’s a panther state, baby!
Favorite UNI Cheer Squad moment: The first performance at Charles City, when we proved to ourselves that we can cheer as an all girl squad.
Most embarrassing moment: Our stunt falling in front of everyone at the MVC Tournament
What do you like to do when you are not cheering? Spend time with my friends and attempt to beat Mario 3 on the original Nintendo.
Personal Motto/quote to live by: Never let success get to your head, never let failure get to your heart.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Teaching first grade and living a happy life with a wonderful family.
Not many people know this but I: use to be a tom boy who climbed trees and played in mud.
Do you have any advice for future team members? Don’t take this experience for granted!
